Biology for Hairy Nosed Wombats

Hairy Nosed Wombats Latin name is Lasiorhinus Krefftii. The Hairy Nosed Wombat is a mammal. They eat grass, roots, bark, small bushes and leafy plants. Their predators are Birds of Prey, Snakes, and Lizards. They are large, stout and ground-dwelling marsupials. At night they search for food above the ground. They are 4 feet long (1000 mm long) their tail is approximately 1-inch long (25mm long), Hairy Nosed Wombat bodies are covered with silky fur; their fur is brownish grey and soft. They live in colonies and they live in their own burrow! The home ranges between all the Hairy Nosed Wombats are 2.5 hectares (4 hectares). The burrows are usually centered to their warren. Individual wombats have their own feeding area.
